Hey guys, I'm updating Blandin12's 8 Hours Later blog since his internet isn't really working (see my last blog). So yeah he wrote this and sent it to me to blog so enjoy :P
The Church doors slam closed. Jenna and Lucy run to the back of the church, cowering in a corner. “HAND ME THE PLANKS!” A young man shouts by the door. Elisa and Brady throw him some wooden planks. “Nail them in!” Gerald shouts as he waddles over to the church door. CLANK! CLANK! CLANK! Elisa, Brady and the young man nail in the wooden planks to the church door, making sure nothing can get in. Father Peter lights a candle, lighting up the church.
“Thankyou...” Brady says to the young man. “Wait, I recognize you, was you at the party?” Brady stops the tall, skinny boy. “Yeah, my names Dean, what’s yours?” Dean asks. “My names Brady, where’s everyone else?” Brady asks as he looks nervously at Dean. “No one else is left.” Dean stresses.
“Don’t cry... we will be fine.” Jenna strokes Lucy’s ginger hair in the dark corner of the church, Father Peter walks over with his candle, lighting up their faces. “I hope you two are ok.” He asks as he bends down to their level. “We are, thank you... are you?” Jenna asks as he looks into Father Peter’s worried eyes. “No, I do not understand why the Lord would rise this chaos upon us.” Father Peter explains. “No one does Peter.” Jenna replies.
“Peter, will this door hold?” Elisa asks as she walks towards the back of the church. “I don’t know, they are heavy.” Peter points out. “They better, those things out there make me feel sick!” Gerald shouts. “Shhh! Keep your voice down!” Elisa whispers. “Gerald, they’re still people, people that need help.” Father Peter expresses, starting to show anger in his face. “I don’t care! We all saw what they did to people! IT’S NOT RIGHT!”
BANG! BANG BANG! BANG! Suddenly, the door begins banging as infected people outside starting ripping away the wood from the door. Father Joe quickly blows out his candle as he hides. “SHHH!” Brady whispers. Shadows of the infected are see on outside the coloured windows, running past to the entrance door, helping rip it apart. Elisa runs over to a door that exits into the back offices of the church, as Brady, Gerald and Dean follow her. BAAAAANG! The door collapses, as infected spread throughout the church.
Elisa opens the door to the back of the church and hurries through. “COME ON!” She shouts back to Dean and Brady who follow her out, but Gerald falls behind “WAIT!” He shouts, as Elisa closes the door on him, locking him with the infected.
Jenna whips out her knife and is about to stab an infected “NO!” Father Peter shouts “DON’T KILL THEM! WE CAN STILL HELP THEM!” He says as he dives in the way, but the infected pushes him over, and starts clawing at his back, tugging at his insides. “LUCY!” Jenna screams as she turns around and has lost Lucy.
Gerald tries to open the locked door, but fails. “ELISA THAT BITCH!” His old, croaky voice shouts, as he hears a groan behind him. He turns around to see Lucy, her small, fragile body dripping with blood. Her teeth attack Gerald’s neck transforming him into another infected, just like her small self.
“don’t stop running.” Elisa pants as they run down the street. Brady looks behind them, to see Jenna’s shadow banging at the church window. “Where’s everyone else?” Dean pants as he runs after Elisa. “Dead, they’re all dead, just don’t stop.” Elisa stresses. Brady turn round once more, only to find blood splattered where Jenna was just standing, by the window.
