I have wondered this for a while. Does being male or female affect your performance on tengaged? Or is it all about personality?
First lets take a look at some successful players on this website.
NoelSarah - Noel "Texas Girl 4Lyfe) Sarah has won 2 previous Stars. She is often thought of to be the sweetheart of tengaged. She is known and has been proven to be a female. Now do you think it would be different if she was a male?
I believe gender has a psychological effect on other players playing the game with her. What does this mean?
If someone played a game with NoelSarah (not picking on her, just using her as an example) they would think of her differently then if she was male. Women have the ability to flirt and use well sex to their advantage to manipulate if necessary, even if they don't mean to. Men are natural horndogs, lets face it. And women can use that to their advantage.
Now if you're a woman do you automatically get an advantage? Well yes and no. The majority of females here are nice and generally not bitches. Lets use two more users.
Emmaleigh - Emily is a rather nice woman. She does have a few that dislike her but overall it's safe to say she is popular.
Now lets look at the other end of the spectrum.
Genevere - Now. It's safe to say Genevere is not liked on this site. For reasons I cannot mention or pedomod (er..Tengaged_Moderation) will ban me (again).
Now what does this comparisson show. In this case it is not necessarily gender as it is personality. Emmaleigh is a rather polite person while Genevere is well ... not.
Now lets compare a male and female with similar personalities.
NoelSarah - NoelSarah is a nice person, always polite. It is safe to say she is a good gameplayer. She has won Stars twice.
petergrunow - Also a very nice person, heart of gold.
If these two users were put into a game where they did not know anybody and nobody else knew their personalities who do you think would be more successful. I believe Noel. Being female gives her a more than slight advantage over peter.
Now I am not sexist by any means, I am just stating facts. You are more than free to disagree with my beliefs. But after being here for a while, you tend to notice things.
