Hannah_Parks I really don't see why you seem to think you're superior as a fan for only liking the show for it's strategic side? God pretentious douches like that are annoying as fuck. (you don't even have good opinions on the strategic side either seeing as you're a Russell fan)
"Here comes tonight's long distance dedication. It goes out to Rob from New York. He writes: 'Dear Casey, there's a mean old man in my life that's about to leave. Could you please play something appropriate for me?' Well Rob, here's your request: 'Na na na na. Na na na na. Hey heyyyy hey. Gooood bye."
Hannah_Parks well obviously he's strategic but his strategy is shit, and if you don''t recognize that then you don't understand Survivor and have no right to even accuse anyone of being a lesser fan than you.
"Sorry girl. You get on my nerves and I don't like being around you. Nothing personal" - Robb Zbacnik, Survivor Thailand

"Bitch" - Randy Bailey, Survivor Gabon
"The ancient Samurai used to say that to win the war you cut off the head of the dragon. You are the dragon, and I am the dragon slayer" - Coach Wade, Survivor Tocantins

"I'll write your name down again, and if I'm up there in the top three you'll still give me the million dollar vote. " - Sandra Diaz-Twine, Survivor Heroes vs Villains

"If you make it further in this game than me, something is wrong in the universe" - Denise Stapely, Survivor Philippines
masterchef It depends on how you view the word, I'll give you this one ;)
But strategic means: Carefully designed or planned to serve a particular purpose or advantage
that doesn't mean that the way you carefully designed it or planned it is good, it could be a total failure.
masterchef well Russell's failed spectacularly unlike others were there were only minor flaws. But there's no point in arguing about this, because I acknowledge I worded it badly.
Yerg
I would say that letting your guard down and allowing yourself to be blindsided isn't a "minor flaw" I would say that is losing as spectacularly as losing the jury vote. I mean, for all the non-winners there's some part of the game they don't get. Cirie lost because she has no understanding of how to get to the finals. Russell lost because he has no understanding of how to work a jury. Rupert lost because he has no understanding of anything.
masterchef I worded it wrong, you're right about what you said but I never even implied to be defending people that got blindsided.
but no, Cirie in Micronesia had a complete understanding of how to get to the finals, whether she would have won or not is up to debate but saying she had no understanding of how to get to finals when she was set up to be in the final three before the random twist changed it to a final two is nonsensical. Had it not been for the last minute twist, Cirie would have gotten to the end.
