I got 1st in my first Castings and 2nd in my first Rookies. I'm not too shabby of a player. I really enjoyed playing Rookies, though again, I wish the algo would not determine the Final Four. Pointless, in my opinion. Here's a little look into my strategy:
I was nominated for eviction as soon as the game began. I asked a bunch of people for votes and miraculously stayed. The game was easy and quiet for a while. I aligned myself with one person right from the beginning, but began to work with two more people. I was the last HOH and decided not to nominate my two friends, who were also the two most active players. Foolish, yes. But I didn't want to backstab and knew I would have to soon.
The algo nominated one of my friends and for the final day I had a choice: a)vote to evict my friend, b)vote to evict the least active player who amazingly made it to the final five (this person was actually gone for 4 days in the whole game lol). In the end, I chose to vote to evict my friend. Ironically, this was my friend's plan that he wanted me to use against another friend when I was HOH. I had decided that whoever the algo nominated, I was use the plan on that person. Unfortunately, it was him, and he got 5th place.
It was a fairly fun game. Not as active as I would have preferred, but I made three great friends: Nathan, Mcole, and Qwert. Do I feel bad about some of the decisions I made? Of course! But in the end, it's just a game. I didn't spend 7 days being active to get 4th place. Luck was on my side and I placed 2nd! Looking forward to playing another Rookies game in the future!
