I’ve decided to tune into this season of Survivor, even though I don’t typically watch it. Even though I don’t know a lot about Survivor’s gameplay, I’ve decided to do my own power rankings on all the remaining players after getting caught up.
1. Yam Yam
He’s in a really good position right now. He’s well liked by his tribe and they view him as a benefit for their team. I really didn’t initially think he’d do well from first impressions, but he is definitely proving me wrong. I think he’s definitely gonna make it far.
2. Danny
He’s a smart player. He managed to find an idol as well as a fake idol and covered his tracks well. He set up his fake idol well and managed to throw all the suspicion off of himself. Now everyone thinks Matt has an idol while he secretly has it in his back pocket. And on top of that, players currently think he’s not so bright. Look out, cause Danny may be one of the most dangerous players in this game.
3. Matthew
The guy seems to have a cool head on his shoulders. He not only has an idol, but also has planted a fake idol that Jaime found. He seems to be getting along well with his tribe, and I really don’t see him going anytime soon.
4. Carson
He’s a very smart kid. He thinks about every decision in the game very carefully. The thing keeping me from ranking him higher is the fact that he seems to slightly be on a couple people’s radars, but I have a feeling we’re gonna see a lot more of him.
5. Lauren
I don’t think anyone is targeting her. She seems to be in a really good position with her tribe right now. What she should be thinking about soon is when she’ll make big moves that can help her case for possibly winning should she get that far. It may be in her interest to lay low for now, but sooner or later she’ll have to start playing if she wants to win.
6. Heidi
I don’t think anyone wants her out, but sometimes I honestly forget she’s there. She seems to be playing a floater game right now. It’s still early in the game, but if she doesn’t eliminate her floater status at some point she won’t win.
7. Kane
He also seems to be a bit of a floater right now. However, he also appears to be on Brandon’s radar. He could be in trouble if Brandon manages to persuade his tribemates toward a certain direction.
8. Jaime
She thinks she has an immunity idol, but it’s really Matthew’s fake idol. She may be playing Matthew’s game without realizing it. Other than that, I haven’t really seen her play.
9. Brandon
He almost got voted out of his last tribal council, and he’d be gone if he hadn’t played his idol. He seems to have been getting along with his tribe since then, but he could still possibly be a target should they go to tribal again.
10. Sarah
Sarah seems to be on the outs of her tribe. Carson, Yam Yam and Carolyn seem to have an alliance of their own, so if their tribe loses again Sarah could be in trouble.
11. Carolyn
I really don’t get the hype for her. Yeah, she’s entertaining, but she clearly has no idea how to play this game. She may have an idol, but clearly she has no idea what she’s doing. She almost got voted out once already, and with that idol she could possibly see herself in the firing lines again. I just can’t see her making it to the end and winning.
12. Frannie
It sounds like her tribe wants to get her or Matt out due to their close bond that they haven’t even tried to hide. If she stays close with Matt, she could be in trouble, especially with the poor position he happens to be in.
13. Josh
His name came up while his tribe was deciding who to vote out before the last tribal council, and based on the preview it sounds like people on his tribe are still targeting him. It sounds like he could be in trouble, but we’ll see what happens,
14. Matt
As much as I like this poor guy, he is in an incredibly bad position right now and he doesn’t even fully realize it. Firstly, he has a clear showmance going on with Frannie that already puts a big target on his back by itself. Second, people think that he has an idol which only makes that target on his back even bigger. And third, that “idol” isn’t even real. When he decides to try and play it, it’s going to be super awkward. This guy may be doomed.
