I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes! It's been tough but I got through it! So far zero damage, thank god, however I did end up in the hospital a total of 8 times with DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis). 5 years taking 4 needles a day, and 5 years on the insulin pump! However having diabetes made me look at life differently, I live every day like it my fullest because I know how fact something can change. My nan died because of diabetes. It's a weird story, she cut her toenail too short, and started having foot problems, she went into the hospital two months after and discovered that she was losing circulation in her foot, due to the toenail cut too short. She was in surgery having her foot amputated, and unfortunately died in surgery, I didn't know her so it doesn't really bother me, however it does remind me that life is too short to have enemies and to do things out of your way to make people feel bad. Don't take life seriously, no one gets out alive.
Sorry for going on a little rant...but yah, I've been a Type One Diabetic for nine years today!
I'm about to enroll in my 98th & 99th game now, and hopefully tomorrow I can go into my 100th charity! I'm having a slow rookies, and I would love for my friends to play along side of me so I can celebrate my 100th game. Since this is also around the date I joined Tengaged (I joined August 20th, 2012) I was thinking that I could kill two birds with one stone and have a 100th game/1 year anniversary charity. I already have some friends who said that they would join, so I'm just going to tag you to make sure that you are still interested in joining for me! I actually have the bestest friends on here
