This morning I woke up to a surprise in the mail... my first ever gift! Better yet it was hair, which is what I've really been wanting. Since the gift was from anonymous I would like to thank whomever sent it to me here. I really appreciate it and am thankful and you helped me start off my day on the right foot.
So I was bored and figured I'd give designing a try. Using paint.net was tricky, especially because I had become accustomed to using Photoshop which unfortunately is not currently at my disposal. However, after going back to it after a couple days I think I am not a little more confident.
So my brother suggested something that should be added to this site and I was wondering how you all thought about it. What if you had the ability to leave a game that you joined if it hasn't started yet, and get your entry free back. This would mean a couple of different of things:
1. Less inactives (I know this is good an bad, more competitive but harder game)
2. I believe that more games will start.
I believe more games will start (especially frookies) because there will be less people waiting for other people to join the game to ensure it will start at a reasonable time; they could not just join and knowing they could leave it if it doesnt. Also, I feel that if everyone watching the game, thinking about joining it could join it knowing they could actually play in it, or else opt out and not lose their t (it wont start after they have to leave or go to sleep, etc) then many more games would start.
So what are your thoughts and opinions? How many of you guys are like me and wait to join Frookies at certain times of the day because you don't know if they will start for a couple hours.
I have only played one classic rookies game and will not play another. Having played the other version of rookies (a week long version of frookies) playing the current, classic rookies just isn't as fun for me.
I feel like the other rookies had a much better strategical element to it and it was much closer to the show we all love. The algo had less of a role and any one person could take control of the game at any point rather than an alliance being able to run the show. It was my favorite game to play because it was a social game and a strategical one, much more so than any other on this site. To me classic rookies should be called castings type to instead of having the tag of 'a bb USA game' since it's nothing like the show really.
I have noticed that there are a lot of less rookies games filling up since it was changed back to classic rookies and I think that is a sign that people want the other one back. And for all you classic rookies lovers I am not saying that it needs to replace it, I think both options should be available so everyone on this site can be happy.
I felt it was important for someone with my level to create this petition because if it becomes popular then it would mean more than a higher level post since more people read their blogs than mine. It would be unprecedented for a green level to have a top blog and that's what I am striving for because I think it can really make a difference ands hopefully make the change. So please share this blog with everyone and lets fight to get back a game so many of us loved.
So, as we all know, Rookies was changed a couple weeks back from to the classical format from the 'frookies' format. For a while I thought I was in the minority of people that preferred to play the 'frookies' style of rookies, but recently I have been noticing something funny...
Is it just me or does it seem like there are less games to bet on? Not only do I feel like there are less games to bet on at once but thinking about it more I made another connection. In rookies you can bet on games at any point in the first day which lasts 24 hours in the classic rookies style, however in the 'frookies' rookies style day 1 could last no more than 12 hours and often ended in 7 since the HoH would usually make nominations within an hours time.
So, if there are less games to bet on it seems that there are a lot of less people playing rookies than there were with the 'frookies' game style, which may mean the other style is preferred.
