Tonight I was walking past my son's room when I heard something, I went in and found aes222aes lying on his bed crying. I sat down next to him and asked him what was wrong. It took some prodding but he eventually admitted that his boyfriend had broken up with him. I didn't even know he was gay! I just put my arm around him and let him cry and told him it would be okay. Eventually he calmed down, pretty much cried himself to sleep, so I covered him with a blanket and left him but I really don't know what to do. How do you help your son through a break up with another boy? I thought someday a girl might break his heart, but I really don't know what to do in this situation.
he is 14, and from what I could understand between his sobbing they had been together for almost 2 years, I do know the other boy he had been around our house a lot and I had just figured they were good friends. How can I help my son get past this. out breaks my heart seeing him this upset.
