Israel cannot let Hamas exist. Cutting off the Philadelphi corridor yesterday and stopping weapon trafficking from Egypt to them is a huge step in the right direction. Hamas will run out of munitions before long and this should all be over.

LizzoBigGirl we cannot predict the future but I understand. It is my opinion that Israel needs to dismantle Hamas in Gaza and then the path to a two-state solution can begin. If the people of that new Palestinian state were to elect Hamas or another terror group to govern them (again), then Israel should take further steps. But at this point the mission objective has to be removing Hamas from the area.
I think that thought comes from the constant justifications and callas reactions to Israel’s consistent attacks that are largely claiming the lives of citizens.
I think both sides of the extreme right and left are being embarrassing about this entire situation because they both keep overlapping into antisemitism. People who throw around the word “Zionist” either don’t understand, or don’t care, that this is a Nazi dog whistle and just makes them look antisemitic because, frankly, it is.
You can be against what the Israeli government is doing without going full Nazi but both extremes seem to be doing this unfortunately.
