I don't know what the general public thinks of Earl, but I think Earl and Survivor Fiji are very underrated. I rank Earl as the 2nd best player of all time, only behind Kim, and I go back and forth on those two. I just think Earl had total control from Day 1 until Day 39 and he tough time because he was at the shitty camp and kept losing over and over. He was very impressive for someone who was recruited 2 days before being flown out and never watched a single episode of the show. Earl just understood the game and understood the importance of making relationships with people. Earl had some funny one liners about knowing he was surrounded by absolutely crazy people, which is true.
He would've been the first perfect winner if Rita didn't throw a vote on Earl randomly because she knew he wasn't going. That was the only vote he received, he received every jury vote, and voted correctly at every tribal. If he didn't receive the one throw away vote, he would be the only winner to ever do this.
I would've LOVED to see him on Winners at War, but unfortunately his wife had just given birth prematurely to their new baby.
