Survivor Cag. Brant - "Anything but Last." (2/2)

Note: Yeah sorry this is really sloppy LOL. I mailed you all why but like expect the next few to be a bit rough and then better - I was/am in a rush as I'm posting this... gotta blast. Per usual, comments/feedback is appreciated.
***At the Solana tribe.
“I think I’m getting stronger.” Drizella spoke up. “Every time we come home, the rewards feel lighter and lighter. I must be used to carrying this heavy immunity statue.”
“Har har.” Max looked over to her. Her and Dev had a talk about how Max would have to work over some of the other girls if she wanted to stand a chance. “When we get back, can we do a braid train?” Max hadn’t realized her hair was already braided. “I just need to wash my hair and let it dry first. I just feel gross.”

“Probably because you are.” Ryan looked over to her. “I mean – not in a bad way. We just all smell and haven’t showered.” He started to bug. “We’re only… so many days in and I’m scared you guys will have to deal with me with a poor attempt at facial hair.”

“If we keep winning,” KC put her bag down when they reached the fire. “We will get a nice reward – the ones where they take you to an overnight hotel and all that good stuff.”
Michelle laid on one of the pillows they got. “This is so comfortable. I forgot what this felt like.” She had one arm under the pillow and another at her side. “Oh my goddddd.”

“Alright… all aboard the braid train, first stop, the ocean.” Drizella undid her bun. “You gotta wash your nasty ass first.”

“It’ just my hair!” Max laughed.

CONFESSIONAL FROM DEV: I don’t like that Max took my advice so strongly… like… I feel almost as if she’s so much more in that it puts me on the outs.

CONFESSIONAL FROM MICHELLE: Ryan, KC, and I are close but like… It’s KC and Ryan really hitting it off and I’m just kinda there. But then it’s Max and Dev, I think. However, it’s going to be hard to keep it 3-2-1, because Drizella IS social. So we need her, or we need Dev. I have to work over one of them before we get to a Tribal so that they think the trust has been there.

“Wait up!” Michelle took off down the beach with Drizella, Max, and Dev. She knew that those three alone would be a threat. She wasn’t going to give anybody the chance to talk to anyone, individually.

***At the Aparri Tribe.
Caleb found himself to be in an odd spot. There was only five of them left on their tribe. He noticed that Michael was getting closer and closer to Sindy as the days went on. He felt that they, James and Mike, should be cautious of Michael. Because once Sindy and Michael were a thing, it only takes James or Mike to make them have the power.

“What is he doing?” Mike asked Sindy and Michael.

“I don’t know. He’s just been trotting around and looking over here from time to time.” Sindy watched. “Where’s James?”

“Who knows.” Michael looked over to Caleb. “Go talk to him – would you, Mike?”

“Christ. I guess.” Mike pushed himself up off the log and trotted over to him. “You good man? You look like you’re buggin’ out.”

“No subtlety there, eh?” Caleb exhaled. “I don’t trust the Michael and Sindy pairing. I mean I trust them – but the numbers are currently 5. Michael and Sindy are two. They just need one more and next thing you know, I’m on the bottom.”

“I… I understand that.” Mike looked at where he was sitting, seeing Sindy and Michael getting along just fine, hating each other 24 hours ago. “I think… you need to understand that… myself, you, and James… we make 3. We don’t need Michael. But… but! We get rid of Sindy first – if we have to!” Mike tried to reinforce that they don’t have tribal tonight so he should really calm down.

James came over. “What’s this all about?”

“He’s freakin’ out because Michael is talking to Sindy.” Mike looked at him. “Maybe he’s just making her feel comfortable.”

“Or… maybe she’s making her way up the rungs of our ladder.” James sided with Caleb on this one.

“We don’t even HAVE a vote tonight! Calm down, boys.”

CONFESSIONAL FROM MIKE: They do have a point… Caleb and James. I mean, Michael is close with Sindy. I don’t know what his angle is there but he HAS to know that he’s on the minority with her. And now I’m feeling a little shambled because my own majority isn’t trusting itself? What the hell are we doing out here? WE DON’T EVEN HAVE TO VOTE.

***At the Luzon Tribe.
“Well,” Alex spoke up first again.

“Plain and simple – Riley, you fucked up.” Purple called him out.

“Why is it me that fucked up?” Riley started to make a case for himself. “If I had more time, maybe I could’ve gotten the puzzle done quicker.

“He’s not wrong.” Gangey defended him. “Micky, you done fucked up on your leg. Alex got the knots done first, Purple DOVE into the shallow water to beat the other person… I did my part. You’re the reason we fell from second to a fluctuating last.”

“I don’t think it’s my fault, and I don’t think it’s Riley’s fault.” Micky said.

“So then who’s fault is it?” Gangey spoke up.

“Why does it have to be someone’s fault?” He replied.

“That’s how we’re voting, is it not?” Gangey looked at the rest of his tribe for reassurance.

“That’s what we did last time.” He brought up how almost all of them tried to vote him off because he messed up.

“I mean… that’s not set in stone.” Purple took his shirt off. “But like… we do have a decision to make. Putting blame on someone makes it easier.”

“So we’re between Riley and Micky?” Alex wanted to clarify.

They sat down and spoke it out as a group for the second time. This time, not everybody’s name was called out. The two names that were being called out were Riley and Micky. The cases made against Micky were his times. Riley was the same case – except he had to argue that he didn’t have the same amount of time as Aparri, so maybe he could’ve had it done. Micky said that was the point. He had enough time because Solana beat him even though they were in dead last. He wasn’t going to just sit there and let everybody take jabs at him.

Gangey knew that he was closer to Riley than he was Micky or Purple. He also knew that Alex and he have a very back and forth relation. So if he wanted his stronger ally to stay, he needed to get the votes. Alex went to get water from the well and that’s when he decided it would be a good time to talk to her. He followed her down the path for a few minutes and caught up. “Hey, we’re not idol hunting are we?”

“Phenomenal joke.” Alex didn’t appreciate it that much. “I’m just getting water.” She watched him follow. “I swear – do you want something?”

“I have something to offer…” Gangey realized that could be taken as a clue “I mean – for consideration to the vote.” She seemed less interested. Still intrigued, just not as interested. “How are you voting?”

“I’m not sure yet.” Alex was honest. She really didn’t know. “Why?”

“Well… I think Riley has a point. Micky did fuck up and costed us the time that Riley needed.”

“I understand that.” Alex unscrewed the top of her canteen as they got closer to the well.

“So what I’m saying is… I think Micky proved that he shouldn’t really be here.” Gangey knew that Alex was closer to Purple and Micky than she was Riley and Gangey. “All I’m saying is that if we’re going for a good tribe, Micky held us back today. Riley wasn’t given a fair chance to prove himself if we get rid of Micky, Riley will have another chance.”

Alex and Gangey talked it out. Gangey felt confident that he swayed her and Riley would be staying. Later, Alex had a conversation with Purple and trying to keep Micky. Purple said that Micky did his best. Riley said he could dominate the puzzle and didn’t, so his best is weak then what’s his worst. Alex felt that Gangey’s case carried more meaning and had a better impact. She still didn’t know who she was going to vote for.

CONFESSIONAL FROM ALEX: Something hit me today – an epiphany, if you will. -Alex put up two fingers- here’s Riley and Gangey. –she put up two fingers on the other hand- Here’s Purple and Micky. Where do I stand? -she pointed at herself with both hands- right here… in the middle. So… both sides need me to keep the other one at bay. How am I voting? I don’t know until that pen hits that paper.

***At Tribal Council.
“Come on in, grab your torch, and have a seat.” Probst was ready to lead the discussion.
“Now… last vote, you guys voted Gangey so you could be a better tribe. Is that what this vote is based off of – voting for a better shot at immunity, Micky?”

“My vote tonight,” Micky laughed “is to counter the votes I’ll have against my name.”

“You’re getting votes tonight?” Jeff asked.

“For sure. We kind of decided that when we got back to camp.” Micky started to explain.

“Riley and I are on the chopping block because we botched the challenge.”

“So… Purple, where do you stand?”

“I think it’s simple. If you’re on a brain tribe and you volunteer to do a puzzle, regardless of the time, you best be able to do that god damned puzzle.” Purple looked at Riley. “Micky knew he wasn’t going to be that great at the race part. But we caught up anyway, and still took last. We were tied at the puzzle part so I don’t think Micky’s faults should matter.”

“Right,” Riley countered. “But you can’t just factor out that he had faults and ignore the hindrances he was to the team.” He took a deep breath. “Nobody else volunteered so I said I’m alright at puzzles.”

“Gangey, where do you stand on this?”

“I think if Riley did have a little more time,” He coughed and said Micky’s name. “We could’ve got the challenge done. Aparri is safe because they beasted in the competition’s first part so they had all the time in the world for James to figure that damn thing out. And you’re going to act like time doesn’t matter?” He looked at Purple.

“Alex… you’ve been quiet on this. What is this vote to you?”

“I see it from both sides, Jeff, so … I don’t know how I’m basing my vote.” Alex was upfront.

“You don’t know?” He looked at her and she nodded. “Moments away from taking the vote, you don’t know?”

“I just think that like… all the arguments being said are very logical. I can’t choose one if I have to.” Micky and Purple cocked their heads at her. Gangey smiled and Riley had a look of hope in his eyes.

“Reactions all over the board.” Jeff said. “Well… I think it’ll be fun if we stop there and start voting.” Nobody objected. The voting started with Purple and ran down the seats. Alex was last and had everybody waiting on the edge of their seat, sweating with anticipation.
“Alright… with that… the final vote has been casted. I’ll go tally the votes.” Jeff went and retrieved the urn from the voting booth. “Before I read the votes, would anybody like to play a hidden immunity idol?”

Gangey stood up. “Sorry – just stretching.” He sat back down. Micky exhaled.

“Alright, I’ll start reading the votes. Once the votes have been read and the decision is final.” Jeff took the top off of the urn.

“First vote… Micky.” Jeff turned the vote around and he nodded.

“Second vote… Riley.”

“Third vote… Micky. Two votes left.”

“Fourth vote… Riley.” Everybody was tense in their chairs now. There was no hiding which side Alex was on because a decision would be made here.

"Fifth vote… third person voted out of Survivor Cagayan…” Jeff turned the vote around. “Riley. I’m sorry but your tribe has spoken. Come on up with your torch.”

Gangey threw his hands up and shot a look to Alex. Alex was sitting with her hands on her stomach, she was uncomfortable. Purple and Micky were thanking her saying how grateful they were for that vote. “I guess Cole was right. Gangey, we aren’t in the majority.” Jeff snuffed Riley’s torch and he left the game.

“I guess you’ll be leaving here tonight wondering if you’ll regret the decisions you made here later. I’ve got nothing else for you… head on out.” Jeff kicked them out of the tribal council area and away they went.
