It's crazy how you can see all the history of the auction design items. Every design ever sold from 2009 to present.
Just by the prices of the design items, you can see the absolute surges that this site had and also the extreme low points.
The transformation of the quality of the designs in 2009 to the extreme improvements to today's designs. Here some stats I noticed!
- Tg hit three major surges over its history since 2009.
- the first one in 2011. Designs were normally going for anywhere from 600-900 EACH design. Wow
- bit of a decline in 2012/2013 years
- but 2014 came back bigger than ever!! And the longest high tenure period that the site has ever seen. Designs regularly selling for 800-1200 with the majority selling for around 1000. And this period played a while. About all of 2014. Lasting about 1.5 years from about Oct 2013-Apr 2015.
- 2015 was a down year for the site. Design prices dropped to around 500-600 on average.
- 2016 to early 2017 we saw the HIGHEST surge the site has ever seen. However only lasting about 1 year. Literally 80% of designs selling for 1000+ generally averaging around 1200.
- however, this was the last good year tg ever saw. After June 2017, numbers dropped fast. Designs dropping to about 300's on average from 2017 to all of 2018.
- 2019 hit the worst year yet. Designs selling for somewhere in the 100-200's. Living proof of the dying site.
- 2020 hit a small resurgence, likely due to impacts of covid. And return of tengagers. Designs averaging around 200-300 with some high peaks of 500.
