One of them is going to be like, "Who are you?" and I'll cry. Not really but I'll say I did and it'll count just as much. :P

That awkward moment when someone reminds you of this place... Apr 21, 2016
After not having been here in over 3 years. Crazy that I still see some names I recognize from all that time ago.

imageI think every night I'm just going to run into a wall headfirst to knock myself out just to have some sort of consistency.

I don't understand these kids today Aug 14, 2012
One of the reasons I come back here from time to time is I like reading everybody's blogs. Doesn't matter what it's about. I'm not interested in playing games or earning Karma, earning T's or trending. Blogs. That's what I like and there's a fuckin' plethora of them here from all kinds of people.

One type of blog that bothers me even if I somewhat understand them is blogs by young people who have yet to get a quarter of the way into their lifespan talking about being depressed and needing prayer. The "my life is barely worth living" blogs.

Look, I know shit gets serious. I know that better than most I'd imagine but some of you are too damn young to really justify your attitude.

I'm 30 years old.

In my lifetime I have been molested by a 48 year old man when I was 8.
I grew up poor and lived off food scraps because despite how my mother tried she couldn't get ahead.
I've never met my father and my stepfather was abusive.
I was taken out of school before I started 7th grade to be a permanent babysitter to my two brothers because my mother couldn't afford child care.
I spent my 7th grade year to my 12th grade year with no contact to the outside world.
I joined the Army and have been deployed twice. During those two deployments I have been shot at, blown up, lost friends and suffered sicknesses.
I've lost close family members, some just recently.

Is that the worst life you've ever heard of? Maybe not but it was pretty bad. I would know, I lived it. Everyone's got problems but here is a simple truth. It's something I learned very early on and a lesson that isn't taught anymore:

It can always get worse and there are people out there who have it worse.

This "entitled" generation is laughingly bad. No one is going to hand you anything. You want things to be better then go out and work for it.

If that's too much for you then shut the hell up. Especially if you're doing okay enough to have a goddamn internet connection.
