So I work at a summer camp for kids ages 6-12. Today one of my kids used the phrase: "THIS IS SO RETARDED!" Since I hate when people use the words retarded/gay incorrectly, I put the kid in time out. But I know that some of the other counelors just let it slide. My take on situations like this is that kids shouldn't grow up thinkining it's okay to substitute retarded and gay for the word stupid, etc. because it can offend/hurt other people's feelings. Was I in the wrong or right tengaged?
So I was sorting some of my old CDs, and I found my Britney collection which I thought I had lost. And after listening, Oops I Did It Again is still my favorite album ever <3 I still remember my grandma buying it for me in 4th grade haha
