NOW THIS is something I wasn’t expecting? And from the second I clicked the play button I was like THIS BITCH KNOWS WHAT SHE’S DOING… LIKE… It literally matches the theme perfectly. I vibed so hard to this while watching a Tokyo night drive on youtube and I must say you nailed it.
FromAWindow ─ “SG Lewis, Clairo - Throwaway”
This is something I haven’t heard before and I love it! I can see it on the theme, it has the sad/nostalgic vibes that a late night drive gives me. Like it literally has this night-ish beats to it, her voice is so soft and it definitely surprised me in a very positive light.
GeorgeFlair ─ “Ke$ha - Die Young”
This song is well known already and that is a huge bummer in contests like this. Like, I see how it somehow fits the theme, but it’s just not my best pick. Song is good overall, perhaps a bit saturated for all I’ve heard, but my main thing is it doesn’t bring something new to the table.
Lukesaur ─ “my bloody valentine - when you sleep”
OK i respect the boldness in this choice but… It just didn’t sit well with me. I can see how it fits the assignment, it’s just not my taste. It’s very different and an out of the box choice and for that you get extra bonus points, I like the old rock electronic guitar, but I just hate the flute somehow it outstands the very low vocals and it draws my attention away.
quackattack817 ─ “Outkast - B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad)”
OK so this is a song I don’t consider to be excellent, although it is… good. Like i can’t lie i love rap music but this song just hasn’t drawn me as much, perhaps i’m not very fond of Outkast. But I must say it looks a lot more like a daylight drive other than a late night, and for that you were dragged down in the overall ranking.
sosyomomma ─ “Regard, RAYE - Secrets”
Curiously enough, I know about RAYE but haven’t heard this song yet. It matches the theme perfectly and I can see how you took the more happy route with this one. It’s dark, definitely, but it has synth electronic beats that makes it a lot more lighter than most of the submissions. It was a very good surprise to hear this.
Which means I have made my decisione.

You have worked on your LATE NIGHT DRIVE, that means i’m asking for the opposite for the elimination round. Both need to send me a song in mails that best represents SOLAR POWER. That can be interpreted as you wish, either by the lyrics, tunes, music video or anything else, only having to fit the daylight theme assignment to be considered a submission.
At the end of the elimination round, one of you will survive and the other will get the chop.
