Here's the prologue.
The true ignorance of humans is amazing. Everything must be either right or wrong, good or bad. To your kind there is no in between. Well us, we are the in between.
You say you're not a biased country. If I told you our secret that would change quickly. Your opinions, they change o' so quickly.
You tell your children stories of us. Twisted stories, lies. Well listen closely my stupid little humans for I shall enlighten you with my truthful words.
My name is Melaena and I have no age. You could say what I have is a disease, a contagious illness. Our symptoms include enhanced senses, stronger muscles and bones, and sharpened teeth. Doesn't sound so bad does it? Well there's also the blood lust.
Think you know what I am? Yes? Well let me prove you wrong there. Foolish humans creating lies to make the unknown less fearsome to you. Say what you wish, your thoughts mean nothing to us.
