If you told me back in December I’d be buying books to read and playing on a big brother online game purchasing colours with a virtual currency as a means of worth id laugh in your face.
This drunken Brit called Brog wobbled onto here most lockdown evenings and I’ll tell you what, I had a fucking right laugh.
From being up at 6am with Gerasimov and @Robert1 (sorry mate you know who you’re just completely forgot your username) talking about music and absolutely shredding fastings to bits. Or arguing with boysofsummer2005, preparing a war with the entire community if washed_ravioli didnt win that Stars game. Infact my favourite part of been on here is every single Peris interaction.
If this years taught me anything it’s to expect nothing and enjoy the ride, give things you wouldn’t expect a try and most importantly get to know your fellow brother and sister.
Now life returns to its normal form you won’t be seeing this drunken Brit on here (in the pub however is another matter). I didn’t get to name everyone I’ve enjoyed meeting on here as quite frankly I’m shit with names and could never tag you all but I just wanted to say a goodbye to you as a community. At the end of the day we’re all here to have fun and play the cards we’ve been dealt during this bollocks year.
So my preference on this game has always been fasting compared to castings, I've always thought of fasting to be quick strategical games and a lot of fun, quite a noob to the wesbite at this point I must say.
For whatever reason I decided to embark on a game of "Casting". My prefernce for fasting and lack of knowledge on Casting was clear from the get go but I did still continue to play the game open minded and get to know my fellow players.
As my story continued and the game delved deeper to the finish the people I was playing with were slowly converting from strangers to what Id like to call friends.
I had the honor of playing with the following people:
@jasonXreme - A very active player with a very strong heart. Early in the game I explained I was new to all this and he took time to give me a detailed reponse of advice on how to progress on a website that is alien to me, for that I have a huge amount of respect for this gentleman.
They was Peris and @ Gerasimov - Both players I got to know through our casting and grew to love! Such interesting folk with so many layers to them which we go to discuss through the game, and even learning some pretty swell music from.
We has Flipflops who seems to be one of the loveliest people i've come across on this website. what a brilliant straight headed fella he was.
Not to mention @Yaskweenwork - an amazingly interesting fella who I wish I couldve played with more.
All these above deserved to be mentioned for being part of a top 8 that was full of active folk most surprisingly not playing a game, all here to speak to each other and support each other! Even learning from each other. None of this game was a strategy it was just mature indidivuals connecting and getting to know each other, talking about very interesting and rather deep conversations.
This wasnt like any other game i've played on here and thats why I believe it deserves a mention.
In no way was it followed or as competitve as a stars game, it was just a group of folk having fun and making friends on a "regular" casting game
I feel like games like that is what other players miss and that is why I count myself very lucky to be apart of it, usually because all people want to do is win or spam it with multis, but an honest active game full of interesting kind people is whats gonna make this game remain in my memory.
I wish absolutely everyone in that game the best of luck and I really do hope I get to bump into these indivudals again.
My overall conclusion on casting: A game with the right folk, is greater than any other game you could play.
I am disgusted, so following this stars game and Marta finally being evicted completely changed the dynamic with two complete different people being nommed.
Let me reference a post from Amills who is currently up for eviction, this is their argument to remain in the game:
"Meet my baby Skye Lynn Miller my beautiful 5 month old baby girl, I’m just a man trying to make her proud. I’ve played hard and clearly I’ve been seen as a threat send me back and I’ll be in the finals GL Peetah"
I am disgusted by this. A father (who acts as a female on the website) has gone to the low disgusting length of using their baby as a desperate plea to remain in an online game (I beg to wonder if the mother is aware of this).
"Im a man trying to make her proud" Is this man mentally stable? Do you think your parents would be proud youve won a game thats marketed audience is teenagers? probably not. Well for you 5 month year old child I can alnost guarantee they're not going be proud since they will have absolutely no understanding. Its disgusting that you've gone to the lowest lengths of bringing your child into an online game and im appaled, I hope others are too.
This is a public plead to evict Amills from this game and hopefully Amills will concentrate on being a father instead of being an online egoistic loser.
Its rather ironic how little we thought of this coronavirus when it first was announced in China often being described as 'just a cold' and ''media are hyping it up'. Now the global economy is on the blink of collapse and all western countries are on the verge of a change which will remain in history forever.
Absolutely crazy, on a more personal level I had a holiday with the fellas to look foward to in summer, bit of a shame because that may or may not be happening who knows.
But yeah hope everyones lockdown isnt so bad and i'll see you in game.

I'm not usually the one for blogs or posts but I thought I'd introduce myself.
Im an english chap I go by the name Brog and I mostly play the fasting bb game. The thing that fascinates me about this is how overlooked this level of competition is. Yes not many competitors on the low level fasting games are "stars" yet it is still home to some of the most compelling mind provoking games that actually happen across this website.
To me these "Star Big Brother" games seem one massive popularity contest consisting of a bunch of people with an ego as big as the time they've wasted on creating an online persona of themself.
Do not take this the wrong way, this website seems brilliant. However the most compelling and competitive games definetely originate from the "low level" games built around making an alliance and controlling the game. If you want true fierce and raw competition this is where it should be.
Overall i'd love to get a conversation going about what actually does seperate the standard fasting bb game and the "Stars" BB game.
