As the receptionist the work is hard sometimes especcially for your mental health.
Tonight when I was on the reception alone only with my portier and with almost 800 guests in the hotel there was a fire alarm. I was scared to death bc. not long time ago in hotel close to us was fire and many people died there.
I was soooo scared. People from the rooms were calling me what is happening. There was alarm in the whole hotel. I wasnt sure if there is also fire or it was just mistake or anything.
Thank God nothing bad happened but still...I almost cried. I dont know how to handle this job sometimes. Its really difficult. Do you have any similiar stories?
