Candice doesn’t get respected as a player because she, like Jessie, were rejected by both sides. It’s unfortunate that she wasn’t a good competitor in challenges and that makes her an unlikely returnee, because her intuition was great, she made strong allies, she showed her grace when she comforted GinaMarie even after some of the awful things she did to her.
Her mistake in the game was staying close to a man who was targetted out of nowhere (even though Spencer also did that and went to the final 3 despite not being nearly as well connected) and not winning veto on a bigots HoH
And (I’m not done) let’s not forget that even though Helen felt stronger ties to Candice, she was willing to cut her to appease Aaryn in an attempt to court her jury vote, knowing she had at most one other one in GinaMarie (so she had no power). Amanda called her a loose cannon even though she also had been in fights previous and showed herself to be a loose cannon as well. Candices BB experience is a lesson in double standards. I mean for Gods sake how was a girl who was referred to as dirty and “black Candice” in a derogatory way ever supposed to do well on this season?
One of my favorite reality tv moments of all time was Aaryn getting GRILLED by Julie upon her exit. Then Aaryn denying all the claims and Julie clapping back IMMEDIATELY with, "Referring to Candice you said, Be careful what you say about the bitch, might not be able to see her in the dark."
