IMAGINE A MOMENTARY LAPSE IN JUDGMENT

Mar 1, 2023 by Alisowned

(I debated whether or not to create this blog as it deviates heavily from my usual material and takes on a more serious tone; and that type of shit doesn't do well on here.

If you can read it within the same time frame that it takes you to click on salmaan's eviction button in stars; you enjoy it.

This is not one of those blogs, but since I'm taking off for the rest of the year... and I need someone to take over my role in the #ASKME section - I'll just go ahead and say what I have to say.)

BlueBarracuda's blog

An unfamiliar emotion bubbled up to the surface when I read this,
it was enough to make any cold black heart break.

If it didn't hit a cord in you, then you must not have a pulse bitch.

My guidance to you & to cheritaisdelicious (ya'll really need to ease up on her, the -77 is a bit much) is...

You have to write for yourself - and not write about what you think someone else would enjoy - as long as you feel like you put out your best work (even if it goes ignored) you will feel satisfied and content.

Sometimes I think about all of the books in the world with unknown authors that I haven't read - or will never get to read - that will never receive the high recognition that they rightfully deserve - or will only flourish with fame after that author is long dead, but there is solace in knowing that the ones who tried their very best WERE published, and if they were published that means SOMEONE; no matter how limited the number... saw potential and worth in their words.

This is probably going to anger some people on here, but I feel like they need to fucking hear it.

The users of tengaged like to talk about how "shit" tengaged has become and how it's a shell of its former glory? Well I hate to break it to you, but the people who are saying that... are the ones who are pretty much shoveling out blogs that are literal diarrhea.

The ''blogs''... can't even really be called blogs, they're more like twitter posts with - if we are lucky - a 30 character limit. It's pretty bad, but that is how the gen z'ers were conditioned to conduct themselves, and unfortunately... we allowed it to become a normal routine for them. We fucked up, it happened on our watch without much protest or derision. Our indifference is what led us to where we are today, and we only have ourselves to blame for it.

If you don't care about striving to make things creative or letting someone know that their presence is valued - they're not going to stick around. Just like the body needs nutrients to survive the mind needs stimulants to thrive. And please don't misunderstand me by thinking that I am recommending that you inject drugs into your fucking brain; although some of you could really-

NOPE, I'm not going to do it.
#littlepositiveholesofcuntyenergy only.

You have to inspire others to bring about change - in order for change to happen - you have to be willing to not only challenge them, but challenge yourself. Often in ways you weren't even sure you were capable of: you won't know who you are on that periodic table until you reach that boiling point.

Honestly all my blogs are things that either amuse me or I am just annoyed at and need a quick vent.

But excellent advice. Also, I love The Decemberists.
