Welcome everybody to Alexeh’s TSC High Lights! In this much wanted blog series I’ll be giving every current TSC player their moment in the spotlight as I go through their top ten entries EVER.*

For the most part I’ll exclude theme weeks unless the theme entry serves so much that I just have to include it/the player just doesn’t have that many good songs.
We start with one of the most successful players in TSC history and one of the most tasteful - Fritzyyyyy. With 33 wins and 3 points given to Charlotte Adigéry’s High Lights, Fritzyyyyy is without a doubt one of the greatest players ever to grace the TSC forum (even when being viciously robbed like in TSC 405). There were lots of songs I could’ve easily put in this list, but this list goes through the ten that I think just edge out on iconic factor and sheer quality.
10th place. Elohim - Half Love (1st place in TSC 311)
This is just such a solid bop and probably one of the most obvious winners in my whole 120ish weeks of TSC, and EVEN so I think Elohim was ahead of her time with this retro-inspired bop. The pre-chorus is incredible, the chorus is catching, we love the sax, everything about this is just so good. And it’s only number 10!! The serve.
9th place. Janelle Monae - Dance Apocalyptic (10th place in TSC 162)
This was over 100 TSC editions before I joined but y’all only let this come 10th so I had to honour it with a place here. Make Me Feel has aged well but this has aged like the absolute finest of wines. Another song that’s just a massive bop, probably helped by the fact that it’s not the kind of thing we get (executed well) nowadays.
8th place. Leon Else - What I Won’t Do (1st place in TSC 275)
Another song I wasn’t actually here for but if y’all thought I wasn’t including a gay guy from the same town as me on this list you are gravely mistaken. This is another really, really solid song and he has such an incredible voice. This is easily his best song and I do hope one day he can do something that comes close to this level of 80s/CRJ-lite serve but it’s just such a high bar.
7th place. Georgia - About Work the Dancefloor (4th place in TSC 346)
It must be said that I did not give this song the love and recognition it deserved in its original contest, but it has aged incredibly. I’m glad Georgia’s becoming a bit more mainstream because she definitely deserves it, and this song is up there with her best, if not her absolute best. Awesome synths, catchy hook, all around creative, great song.
6th place. PVRIS - Death of Me (3rd place in TSC 361)
I did this song so dirty when it was first sent too but I also included it in my 2019 top 100 list so I guess it shouldn’t be too surprising that this is here. Easily their best song imo, the chorus is just so good I’m not sure why I wasn’t into it in the first place. This is the kind of song that really should’ve won and yet for some reason it didn’t.
5th place. Nova Miller - Mi Amor (1st place in TSC 398)
Poor Fritz this list is full of songs I didn’t care that much for at the time. <3 This one got the win it deserved though before I ended up adding it to my playlist and streaming it repeatedly. Dare I say the best winner of the year so far? It’s definitely up there with the best, a really solid pop song that seems to get better with every listen.
4th place. Ella Eyre - Comeback (6th place in TSC 174)
Did somebody say top 10 song of the decade?? For some reason this song only came 6th, I wasn’t in TSC at the time so I’m not responsible, but I really wouldn’t have blamed Steve for letting that motherfucker (TSC) burn for this robbery. Most of Ella’s discography is excellent, but this is my absolute favourite from her and the only reason it isn’t higher is because I wasn’t actually here for it so I don’t consider it a Fritzyyyyy entry as much as a song that’s just really really good and was also sent by Fritzyyyyy at a time I didn’t know Tengaged existed.
3rd place. Tita - Antilopa (20th place in TSC 395)
This getting 20th was such a crime against gay rights it really was and it still makes me feel sick. There’s been a lot of Eastern European pop in TSC this year (a trend I hope continues because I usually enjoy it) but this is probably my absolute favourite. Every single second of this dirty banger is a journey and it’s a journey that I never want to end. Incredible.
2nd place. Wafia - I’m Good (15th place in TSC 323)
WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT THIS SONG ANYWHERE NEAR AS MUCH AS WE SHOULD. This is honestly just ahead of its time this would do so well now and y’all can fight me on that if you want. I don’t remember exactly how I responded to this at the time but I hope I liked it because I’d be truly disgusted with myself if I didn’t. I don’t think the dictionary has the requisite words for how much I stan this song.
1st place. Bishop Briggs - Dream (1st place in TSC 295)
Maybe this is a boring choice but this is literally the song that established Bishop Briggs as the high quality artist she is today (we don’t talk about River). Everything about this song just appeals to me in a way that few TSC entries have done and will continue to do and it hasn’t aged a day since TSC 295. I still adore this song and it’s a worthy 1st place on this list.

I was worried there would be some ones that aged poorly for me on here, but I still love all of these so thank you for doing me justice. Wafia is a name I never thought I’d hear again in the TSC universe after the way she was DISREPECTED, but I love that song and thought it was a cute top 5 contender when I sent it lmfao
