Old Rookies was brillant, a fun-packed game but now it is changed to exactly like the duel, but it is even quicker.

I like new rookies because the result isn't a predictable as Old and the new game betting is more of a gamble.
However, the quick pace of it eliminated the social relationships part of the game that was featured in the old rookies, making it LESS like BB USA in some regards.
Its loads of fun, but it sort of like a more social version of Duel.
I think if the day changes didn't happen so fast - maybe 12 hours instead of the old 24, it would remove the quickgame aspect, and re-add the strategic social aspect.
