Straight men gossip more than any group of gays or gals ever do. They just hide it behind 'bro' mentality and approach it in a way that doesn't seem like gossip to make their masculinity feel better.
ANYWAYS, I am experiencing her once again bc this group of new hires is me + 4 straight men.
(So far I am actually getting along swimmingly with them so yay me, but we'll see how long that last because eventually one of them is going to convince themselves and the others I am in love with them even tho I have a boyfriend. Like no hun anytime a gay person is friendly towards you it doesn't mean they like you <3).
BUT YEAH, so like shit is starting to SPICE tf up at work. Yesterday we had an assessment to track our progress & basically had the rest of the work day to hang out and get to know each other. So we now have this group chat on Microsoft teams that we talk on throughout lectures and such.
We're currently the second group of hires, and the one before us only had 2 people, a guy and a girl, and we really don't interact with them at all other than a mandatory daily meeting first thing in the morning. And like some people kinda get a weird vibe from him, and were kinda like major shit talking him in that chat after the meeting (I kept my mouth shut because I know better and don't have time for petty drama).
Another sidenote, there is like a group chat this guy made that has everyone in it but me because I don't have an IPhone :(.
But yeah so during out afternoon lecture, the teams group chat starts going off and they are like 'who tf leaked.' And I'm just kinda sitting here like '??' and so I messaged one of the guys I get along better with separately and was like girl what is going on??? AND APPARENTLY somebody went and TOLD this guy EVERYTHING that was said???
So I'm just sitting here on a video lecture trying to hide my facial expressions as I watch all this go down in anticipation bc I love drama when it doesn't involve me. It was wild. Of course since it is straight men like no genuine catty type conflict happened bc ofc masculinity doesn't involve that kind of shit.
And honestly I'm just waiting for it to eventually get blamed on me bc I'm the gay one and didn't participate in the shit talking.
But for NOW it is fun and I really can't wait to see more drama unfold bc there is obviously someone in our group chat who is a #DoubleAgent.
