Ask Carly: ATL Q&A - S2, E6

1. At this stage in the season, is Ofelia our main antagonist?
I would say she is one of the main antagonist. Ofelia certainly isn’t a hero, but with the likes of Darren and Sofia running around there are others who may or may not be worse.
2. What is in store for Ofelia and Richard going forward now that Darren’s group has arrived in Revco?
You’ll have to wait and see! However, I can say that there are clear lines in the sand drawn. Ofelia is seeking power while Richard is seeking harmony of sorts. Who ends up on top will be interesting to see.
3. Out of all the higher-ups in Revco, who do you think has the best qualities of a leader?
Since it’s referred to as “higher-ups” I’m going to assume you mean between Ofelia, Emmalina and Richard. In all honesty I think each of them have the qualities a leader should have. However, with Emmalina, she is still coming into her own so I wouldn’t put my faith in her just yet. Richard has a way with words and is very charming, so I can see him being the best suited out of those three to lead Revco. Ofelia would make a great dictator though!
4. With the horrible situation with losing her arm and being in the bunker, are we going to be seeing a more negative Krista?
Between losing her arm, being trapped in a bunker and learning of her sister’s death, Krista is not in a very positive headspace. It’s interesting because before coming to Revco, Krista was the strong leader who made good calls and had an optimistic view of things. Now that she has had so much bad thrown on her, I think it’s only realistic that she would not exactly be a ray of sunshine. However, things change quickly so who knows how she might feel in the coming episodes!
5. If everyone stuck together, rather than being every survivor for themselves, what would have happened this episode?
The episode still would have been action packed and dramatic, but it would have been them vs. us rather than him vs. her vs. him vs. them vs. him, etc. I will stay that I’m glad they didn’t stick together because it allowed me more freedom to make some shocking reveals and twists.
6. Did Zelma die of a heart attack?
Zelma’s death was caused by a mix of things. She’s an elderly woman trapped in an oxygen limited bunker. On the surface it comes across as if she just fell out due to either a heart attack or lack of oxygen. However, keeping in mind with who Zelma is there may be more to it. This will possibly be explored in a later episode this season.
7. Is there hope for Meredith still being alive?
I mean there’s always hope. Hope is a good thing to have. What I will say though is my goal with Among The Living is to make it entertaining and shocking. While zombies are not realistic (at the moment), the human characters on this show should be. If this were The Walking Dead, Meredith would probably have taken care of Luca and Ofelia all on her own before taking Darren and company prisoner...
