“Among the Stars”
In 2113, Earth was starting to take its last breath. As the world’s climate rapidly deteriorated, humankind decides it was finally time to explore the unknown. Astronomers at NASA detected a phenomenon: A Wormhole. Completely unknown, this wormhole is located outside of Jupiter’s moon Europa. This was a defining point in space travel; a complete gateway to a new galaxy, or at least someplace habitable. Humans took their chance, sending out 53 brave astronauts and astronomers into the wormhole.
Containing the 53 people, 15 rocket ships were sent out. Each titled, “Hope I-XV” (1-15). After years with no response, 6 ships soon returned to Earth with amazing discoveries. The wormhole transported them into a new galaxy. The first ships named this galaxy, “Spero”, aka Hope in Latin. In this galaxy was one star similar to the star in Earth’s solar system. Orbiting this star were 12 planets, all different in size & color.
Soon, one brave ship landed on a jungle-like planet similar to Earth. It was habitable and was promptly named, “Terra,” meaning ‘Earth’. This was the base of operations and all ships landed there and set up base camp. After a few months, their base camp was completed with all equipment and the planet was patrolled for signs of danger. The only comparison to this planet with Earth were the jungle-like features, animal origins similar to Earth, freshwater, and safe, breathable air.
After deciding this was the right place for home, six ships left to go home to report back, and they did. From 2150-2167, NASA shot millions of people into the wormhole with what was left of Earth’s resources. The remaining people were sadly waved goodbye and have not been heard of since.
It is now 2398, and the Spero galaxy is thriving. Terra, along with a few planets named Tesla and Realta, were the main population planets. Terra, being the jungle capital of the galaxy, Tesla being the technologically advanced production planet, and Realta being the resource & farming planet. These planets thrived to sustain life enough to breach the billionth people mark. The galaxy soon became democratic and peaceful, each planet being its own nation and electing officials every so often so that they can meet up at the Spero Mothership. There, all officials from each planet’s regions meet up and talk about their problems.
In recent times, however, there has been an abrupt problem. The remaining 9 planets have been picked at, but never really explored in depth. Being the adventurous, “new age” generation, the Council of the Planets has decided to explore these planets for further use. The Core Three planets are planet 3 aka Terra, planet 5 aka Realta, and planet 6 aka Tesla. Planet 4 is used as a mutual mining planet as it is a planet reminiscent of Mars with bountiful ore mining. The rest of the planets are unexplored with basic knowledge of what to expect. The Council has decided to send its finest scientists, astronomers, explorers, astronauts, and military personnel to research & explore these planets.
