Welcome to the main stage of Omen's Drag Race! This week I asked the queens to make looks for a holiday they were given! Gentlemen, start your engines and make the best woman, win!
CRITQUES:
Before I begin, Caia Alexander did not post. Now I’m unsure what happened but Caia is a pretty active person especially in Drag Race games. So I’m not sure if it’s a technical problem or just a personal issue so I’m going to put her in the lip-sync and see if she will submit one. If she fails to lip-sync before the bottom 2 then she will sashay away.
Pamela: I really enjoyed your constructed piece tonight. I’m ready queen of hearts but she’s the queen of Easter eggs. I think all the colors work well and the egg goal on the top of her head is also very cute. I also like how you were bald... that’s a small detail that just sticks out and it works. The only thing I would have gotten rid of is the blue and red makeup on the eyes just because your skin makeup does the work and it felt a little extra. Other than that it’s a good start.
Ikerina La Divina/Slimmie Baddie: I wanted to address both of you together. You both decided to send google images of a model. This is not going to cut it. Look around you, a lot of the girls right now backstage could have easily made it to the top so this is deep season. Something like this can make you get out in the competition very early. If you don’t know how to make a look, ask me, any of the queens... there’s so many things you can do and websites to use.
Bloom Bastique: You had a hard assignment with AFD. With that said, I think you nailed your look. I think you drag style really works well her as AFD is not something you can make a glamorous look out of. The idea of jokers and then a reference to Harley Quinn was the most outside the box and creative concept on the runway. I would say for future weeks try and be a little more polished but right now you are certainly a contender.
Thicness McChrist: When I saw your look, my jaw hit the floor. Your look was Amazing! The garment was a great piece and it looked a nod to early America which I loved. The colors are popping and I loved the added stars onto the blue parts of the dress. You are literally a walking American flag and I am here for it. The hair being so white and so curly was also a great choice and the Wonder Woman red boots was also the extra I needed for this look to be hit out of the park. Well done!
Sandy: Now the reason I have you out here is because of your whole drag family, this look was the best of all them and it’s only week 1. While parts of it are sort of simple like a red dress, it’s the attention of detail that works. The rose at the breast area of the dress makes the dress sooooo much better. I think the makeup is also really good and the option of going with the smoky red eye was really smart. I think overall this was a solid runway and a great start for you.
Thank you ladies, while you untuck, I will make some choices...
