There is not much the killer likes less than another criminal trying to cause mischief in Rue Manor.  This is why Jace, had to die.  Upon moving into the manor, most of you had hopes of catching a killer and winning a gift prize and (or?) the fear of being killed.  Jace on the other hand was motivated by something else, by greed.

While most guests were searching for hidden clues and making alliances the first night, Jace was driven by something else.  After visiting the library and reading The Backstage Rage, Jace learned that Rue Manor was used as a counterfeiting center during the Great Depression.  It wasn’t long before he found the secret passage from the Green House to the Parlor Room (or the passageway from the Study to the Kitchen) and the counterfeiting equipment.  While you messaged each other and claimed clues, he ignored you all and began manufacturing over $10,000 in counterfeit bills.  It would have worked if, well if the killer didn’t decide to mark Jace for death!

As you were all getting ready for dinner (8:00 PM in the dinning hall) Jace was finishing up his scheme.  He had just a few more things he needed to do.  First he needed to return the book to the library.  He then went to the Green House (Where he had conducted the counterfeiting) and grabbed the materials from in front of the windowpane to put away.   (He forgot some of the stencil/metal indentations for the machine in a large plants base).  He took the secret passage from the Green House to the Parlor Room – leaving green fingerprints on the painting (passage way entry).  Hurrying he bumped into the couch, moving it off center in the Parlor Room by about 3 inches.

Carrying the counterfeit printer (and supplies) he headed into the Dinning Room where he returned the pieces to their storage location inside the Grandfather clock.  Again, he gets green ink on the clock.  He quickly ran to the study and grabbed the duffle-bag of $10,000 from the secret floor-storage compartment he had found the night before.  He ran to the hall entry-way and grabbed his coat (Leaving green ink on the jacket) and went to leave…But the killer had locked the door, Jace could not leave.  He quickly throws his coat o the coast rack (it falls) and heads towards the study to return the money.

Jace runs back to the study where the killer was waiting.  Jace and the killer get into a physical altercation with money and the metal block stencils for the counterfeit printer spill out of the duffel bag.  Jace pushes the killer down and pulls a pillar on the fireplace – turning the fire off.  Jace steps into the fire (which is the entryway to the secret passage leading to the kitchen.

The killer is right behind Jace and as the get into the kitchen, the killer grabs a cast-iron pot from the counter and hits Jace on the back of the head, causing blood to spray onto the counter and Walk-In-Fridge door.   Striking Jace’s occipital lobe so hard causes him to lose his vision.  Using his hand to guide him out of the kitchen, he leaves green prints on the fridge and mixes the green with his blood on the counter.   Jace stumbles blindly out of the kitchen, still clutching the duffle bag and crawls towards and into the Banquet hall.  Following him, the killer stands over Jace and hits him twice more on the back of the head until Jace collapses and falls into a pool of his own blood in the center of the banquet hall.

The killer runs into the Games Room and throws the cast-iron pan underneath the pool table and leaves the money on the window seat because guests are heard coming down the stairs.  The killer enters the library, quickly cleanse themselves off and joins the guests in the Dinning Room for dinner.
