THEMISSINGLINK's Survivor: Iceland - A Viking Saga was the first group game I ever participated in. He took a chance on me, being a new user with nothing to offer in terms of proof of play ability. Although I went early, that was the beginning of a long-lasting bond that lasted many years and at least a dozen seasons of group games.
