Where:South Eastern Ohio; city of Piney Fork (Population 1200 people) A small community with a few small farms, diners, a bar, a church, and a school. Lots of wooded area for fishing, hunting and other game.

Zach Black, a high school social studies teacher by profession, bought a small farm a few years back. Then owning only a few pigs and a cow, now owns plenty cows, chickens, pigs, a small vegetable garden, a few fruit trees, and a small fish hatchery. Most of what he grows and raises he uses for his own consumption, but selling what is extra at farmer's markets and selling the fish from the hatchery to the state to help supply lakes for game.

Zach also works with the local jails to keep people off the streets. After his own sister, Amy fell into the world of drug addiction and was facing jail time he opened up his farm and home to select criminals to stay with him and work on his farm instead of going to serve a sentence in jail. For the most part he selects those who faced drug problems like his sister, but is open to hear anyone out for a home.

Along with Amy two other people currently live in Zach's home, step brothers Myles Parker and Kyle Hunter both heavily addicted to doing drugs as well as dealing. Zach saved Myles from serving a minimum of 50 years in prison. Instead Myles can live with Zach for 10 years and if Zach deems suitable he can be set free. Kyle was set to serve 10 years in prison but instead will live with Zach for 4 years.

Klaire Jaxxon, a detective for the state has been assigned to all of Zach's cases. She took special interest since her and Zach grew up in the same small town. Her and Zach listen to court cases and decide who can live with him and who is better in prison. The newest case being brought to Zach is Bryse Carter a member of a biker gang who will either serve four years in prison or six months with Zach, if Zach approves of him staying, his crimes are unknown to Zach.
