DOWNSIZING GAME
Objective: Don’t have the fewest votes, or you’re fired!
GENERAL RULES
1. Each player receives a loan of 100m yen. This is your private money on hand for this game.
2. There are 5 turns lasting 48 hours each.
3. Each turn, you must mail the dealer on tengaged to distribute 10 votes to players other than yourself. (Example: 10 votes to nbkiller, or 5 votes to nbkiller and 5 votes to randomize, etc)
4. The end of a turn is divided into two steps.
a. Step 1: The LGT will announce the number of votes each player received. The LGT will NOT reveal how people voted.
b. Step 2: The LGT will announce the net gain/loss of votes due to vote transfers (See CONTRACTS section for details)
5. If all players submit their votes before the deadline, the turn will be finished, and the result announced. If you do not want the round to end until the deadline time, please let me know.
FINAL TURN VOTE BRIBE
1. On the last turn (Turn 5), players may attempt to bribe the LGT for a chance to earn 51 extra votes by sending in-game money.
a. If you do not send in the most money, the LGT will decline and return your money.
b. Money sent in must be immediately on hand, with a minimum of 25m yen to bribe.
2. The final vote bribe will add at the same time as other vote transfers for turn 5.
3. If there is a tie in bid amount, priority will go to the player with the fewest votes after turn 4.
a. If the tie is not broken, the votes will be split (fractions permitted)
4. The winner(s) of the bid will not be revealed publicly, as the votes will be added with all other vote transfers for turn 5.
5. The votes gained through the final turn vote bribe cannot be transferred.
LOSERS AND PAYOUTS
1. The player(s) with the fewest votes lose and are Fired. Those who lose will be eliminated from the Tournament. Please note, if all players are tied, then all players are considered last place, and are fired accordingly.
2. Player(s) fired will each pay 100m yen into a fund that will be evenly distributed to the player(s) with the most votes. If all players tie, then nobody has the most votes, and nobody receives the payout.
3. If one player alone receives the most votes by the end of the game, the LGT will pay them a bonus of 100m yen.
INACTIVITY
1. If a player does not send a mail detailing all 10 votes, they will be counted as inactive.
2. Any votes the player did distribute (if any) will not be counted, and any votes the player received will be lost. Please be sure to send exactly 10 votes per round.
3. Two inactivity strikes, and you’re eliminated from the tournament, and will still pay the most-voted player.
4. The game state of the eliminated player will remain in order to maintain active contracts.
a. Players eliminated from inactivity may not make additional moves. Players may not vote for an inactive player. Any game money they have at the end of the game goes to the LGT.
5. If the inactive player is the player with the fewest votes, then they alone will be fired.
6. Do not use inactivity for strategic purposes. This goes against the Player Expectations of NB Reality 20- Liar Game 2.

CONTRACTS
1. Contracts are allowed in this game, but a binding contract cannot exceed this game (such as transfers from your tournament bank account).
a. All contracts are binding in this game. There are no false signatures anymore.
b. Contracts may only be formed between two signatories in this game.
2. You may transfer yen and votes by contract. (Votes transferred in whole numbers, yen transferred in increments of 1m yen). You may not transfer funds from your bank account during this game.
3. Transfers execute at the end of the round the contract was approved unless stipulated otherwise by contract. A contract cannot become active before the voting of the turn it was approved.
4. Contract Guidelines: In order to approve a contract, the LGT must be able to guarantee that all contracts are executable. Rules of thumb include:
a. Contracts should be executable in your current game state (in any given scenario, you can still carry out the contract).
b. Contracts must not depend on someone else’s private information (assume you are the only person the other signatories made a contract with).
c. Contracts should not force another player to make a move you can observe that they cannot make.
d. Contracts cannot force players to have negative votes/yen
5. The LGT will try to approve and notify all signatories within 24 hours but may have to delay approval for various reasons including player fault or contract fault. The LGT is not obligated to explain any delays or pause the game to approve contracts. The LGT will work with players or notify signatories involved in the contract if necessary.
6. The LGT will notify all signatories through tengaged mail when the contract has been approved. The LGT will mail a copy of the contract for confirmation.
7. All signatories must submit the same contract to the Dealer, otherwise, it will not be approved.
a. Contracts submitted must be an exact duplicate of each other. If you alone misspell a word, the contract will not be approved. Please use copy-paste.
b. Sending a contract through a group message and everyone saying “I Agree” will NOT count as a submitted contract. All contracts must be sent by an individual tengaged mail to the dealer. (The dealer should be the only one the mail is sent to).
8. If you intend to manipulate a loophole in a contract, please inform the Dealer when submitting the contract.
