This Comeback competition is called “Rebus Rising”, and here’s how it works.

In this competition you will be given a series of REBUS PUZZLES (also known as Pictograms). These are word riddles which use a variety of visual methods to hint at well known phrases. Your job will be to crack each puzzle and send me the answer phrase.

You will score each round by how fast you are to send the correct answer (or close enough to the answer phrase for me to accept it). If you answer incorrectly, I will mail you back stating so.

1st to answer correct gets 3 points.
2nd to answer correct gets 2 points.
3rd to answer correct gets 1 point.
No points beyond that.

After 5 rounds, the houseguest with the most points will win the Comeback Competition and return to the game! In the event of a tie there will be a single tiebreaker round to decide the victor.

If you are confused as to what a Rebus puzzle is like, here’s an example.


Here we have the word ‘AID’ repeated three times, with an arrow pointing to the first one.
Therefore the answer is ‘first aid’ - a well-known phrase.

The puzzles will be similar to this, but with other methods of hinting towards the answer phrase, which will vary in difficulty.
