Emilia - This isn't a bad picture, but I have to admit it leaves me wanting more, and not in a good way. I love your silhouette and how the shoulders are pointed and shaped almost like a bow. It's a really big and in your face outfit. However, I think that an injection of colour into the outfit somewhere would have really taken this a step further. The darkness of the outfit kind of swallows you up and what I was looking for was someone who could be really in your face and demand my attention. I think something like this would have been great in the first couple of weeks, but at this stage in the competition, you should be doing everything you can to wow the judges! Pay attention to those little details and leave no stone unturned.
Natasha - This outfit is okay! It's definitely couture and an unusual take on your typical ball gown. I like the ombre color from red to black and the ruffles really caught my attention. The gloves let you down a little as I think they're a bit distracting and look a bit like trash bags. I also think you need to work on really selling the outfit with confidence. You're hunched over a little and I'd have really loved to have seen you standing tall and proud, working your body and making eye contact with the camera. Overall though, not bad, but again...I want more! This is couture, but not really that bold.
Lucky - Wow! Where do I begin with this? I LOVE the outfit. It's couture, it's bold, it's everything I was looking for. Every time I look at it, I notice a new detail. I really like the colour and patterns as well as all of the little accessories that you've added. Best of all, you're really showing your personality and giving me character as well as fashion. You're giving me an almost "I don't care what you think" look, which totally suits the outfit and general aesthetic you're going for here, but at the same time you're also quite seductive and I was really drawn to your eyes. I'm very impressed with this!
Gigi - You've taken quite a risk in going for a black and white color scheme when I was looking for something bold, but it paid off! It works really well and I think any color would have detracted from the look and futuristic style you were going for. It gives me kind of a fashionable surgeon from the year 2500 vibe. I love the androgynous feel in this picture with your makeup and heels showing your more feminine side, and the jacket, cane and hat giving a slight hint of masculinity. The only thing I would critique on this picture is that it makes you look a bit bigger than you are with the padded shoulders, over sized jacket and the cape as well. I don't think that works very well, but overall, you certainly followed the brief by giving me something bold as well as couture, and I'm impressed!
Bella - This is very underwhelming for me. I wanted something that was bold, couture, a risk, and really in your face and I got...this? It's just you lying on a sun lounger in white underwear, basically. I do like the shoes, but that's about it. The butterflies and the background captivate me more than you and I feel like you just fade away in this picture. You're getting near to the end of the competition now and you can't afford to get lazy. Every picture counts!
Simon - This is certainly bold! I'm not sure how I feel about this outfit, to be honest. I really like some parts of it, but some parts just seem really out of place like you've thrown together as many different items of clothing as possible in the name of high fashion. Sometimes it's more impressive to serve more with less! I'm not sure that the tartan pants work well with the rest of the outfit, but I do love the red and gold colour scheme. It's great to see a character and a story in your image too. The livery jacket makes me think of a British royal official/footman, and your strong, determined and focused stance and expression really adds to that. You took a risk and this is an outfit that I certainly haven't seen before, so props to you for that! The more I look at it, the more I like it, but as Coco Chanel once said, "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off."
