Here we are in the beautiful Russia, where you all participated in an Anna Karenina themed photo shoot with a train. Now, I understand this was quite a challenging shoot, so I am going to take that into consideration this evening.

Let's move onto critiques...

First is Croutanya

This is such a beautiful photo. Although the train and the fashion refers to a different era, I can certainly sense the gloomy romance of Anna Karenina in this image, and I think you've managed to capture the essence of the theme in this photo. I think of all the photos this week, yours is one of the few that really stands out as a viable fashion image.

Next is Ashanti.

I must say I'm not a big fan of this shot. The styling and the pose feel a little bit tacky, and this feels more like portfolio photo for a local photographer rather than a serious magazine shoot. I'm quite underwhelmed by this photo at this stage of the competition.

Next is Matheus

This really doesn't fit the theme at all, but I appreciate your use of imagination. While I do like your photo and think it's fierce, it just really doesn't meet the brief so it's difficult to praise.

Up next is Rosé

Whether or not this is a cargo train container or just a regular container is a bit of a mystery, but I think this is a really cool, dynamic photo. There are a lot of great textures and swinging on the chain in a long gown is a great ay to stand out. I wish I could see more of the dress, but I love how grunge this feels.

Next is Leo.

I quite like this shot. It is a little bit too clean for my personal taste, but I think it's very elegant and could easily work for a number of different brands and I could see this used in a campaign. Being a male model is hard enough, let alone when the theme is this narrow so I think you've done a great job this week!

Next is Faith.

I love the use of colour in this photo – the pink really does help it stand out from amongst the other black and white/ jewel tones that your competitors used. I don't love this photo though, as there's something about it that feels like it's a scanning from a 1950s romance novel. While this does tie into the theme of the shoot, I do wish it felt a bit more contemporary.

And last we have Beatrice.

This photo has the drama I was hoping for! I love the billowing, static gown and the steam from the train. There are strong elements to this photo and I love the drama. I think you look like you're not sure what to do with your arms though, which does sort of make this photo less impressive. I think if you looked more natural and comfortable this would've been a perfect photo.
