Welcome to your 1st Elimination here on Three’s A Party. This Elimination is called is called Mountain Climber and here is how it works.
In front of you is Mount Antonia, infamous for its instability and constant avalanches. Many climbers have lost their lives trying to scale this mountain and tonight, the 3 of you will be tasked with this goal as well.
You will each start on different sides of the mountain, all fighting to climb to the top as quickly as possible. Mount Antonia is so tall that it has 50 checkpoints along the way for climbers to use to recuperate in between climbing spurts. However, as stated before, Mount Antonia’s avalanches can strike at ANY MOMENT, so be careful when climbing.
To climb, you will simply type *CLIMBS MOUNTAIN*. After each climbing spurt, you must stop at the checkpoint to lock in your spot by typing *STOPS AT CHECKPOINT (1-50)*.
Sporadically throughout the Elimination, Mount Antonia will have an AVALANCHE. If an avalanche occurs while you are in the middle of climbing and are not at a checkpoint, you will be dragged HALFWAY DOWN from where you currently are on the mountain. For example, if your most recent checkpoint was Checkpoint 20, you will be brought to Checkpoint 10. If you are on an odd number, you will be brought to the higher half. For example, if your most recent checkpoint was Checkpoint 21, you will be brought to Checkpoint 11.
The first TWO players to reach the top of Mount Antonia and stake their flag on the top by typing *STAKES MY FLAG* will survive tonight’s Elimination and live to see another day. The first player to do so will also earn a piece of the Golden Triangle, granting them immunity until all three pieces have been retrieved by different players. That player will not have to compete in Daily Challenges or Eliminations, but will still participate in house votes.
This Challenge will begin promptly at 6 PM EST and will be capped at 45 minutes. If 2 players do not finish by then, the winners will be decided by who made it furthest up the mountain.
If there are any questions, please ask them now. Otherwise, we’ll get started soon.
