Before we go on to the final result I want to tell all 5 of you that you are winners in your own RIGHT. You have blessed my ears every day with new and nostalgic tunes.
With that being said, we can only have one winner...
There will be a winner in each category, the person with most points (1 point each category win), wins the game. Runner ups receive 0.5 points. In the event of a tie, I have a backup plan.
This is one of the best pop songs of the 2010’s. Lorde had a massive moment, and this songs legacy simply cannot be denied. In addition to that, it’s so catchy and easy to listen to! I really love this song.
Song: Nirvana - “Smells Like Teen Spirit” (0.5 points)
While I may not be a major Nirvana fan, we cannot deny this doing being a cultural reset. This is also one of the rock songs I really like, there’s not too many of those.
I think the rest of these submissions, except Thirteens, fail to meet the Cultural Reset criteria. They might be iconic in pop music, but they didn’t CHANGE pop music. And that’s what I was looking for.

The song itself is amazing, but the video had me shook. I still don’t get how she even though of this. It’s genius, and it’s all done so elegantly. I just wish we had the real Brad Pitt in that car, would be extra iconic. But yes, Shania definitely made a mark on pop culture with this one.

One of the most iconic songs of the 2000’s, and so is the video. It is so sophisticated and elegant, yet literally everyone knows this video. Beyoncé truly is a force to be reckoned with.

Performance: Lady Gaga - “The Sound of Music” (1 point)
This performance showed how Gaga can blend into pretty much any genre. She is a force to be reckoned with, and a talented performer with multiple talents (and personalities). I think you all did well in this theme, but if anything truly stood out - it’s this one.
Performance: Leona Lewis - “Summertime” (0.5 points)
I dare say Leona is one of the most gifted vocalists of our lifetime, and this is a great performance. A close top 2 here, but one simply just stands out more.
3rd: Zachbbs - Mariah Carey
4th: Blahblahblahblah - Michael Jackson (I LOVE moonwalk! But I think he lip synced here?)
5th: Thirteen - Janis Joplin
