When I was five, I watched my first high school basketball game. I was amazed! Not by the basketball game, but by the girls on the other side of the court chanting and smiling. I asked my aunt what they were doing, and she told me they were cheerleaders. I asked her if I could be one and she told me when I get to high school I could try out. A few weeks later, I got a little pair of pompoms. I was so happy. I took them EVERYWHERE! I also got a doll a while after that and it would do a cheer if you pushed a button. (I still have it memorized) Anyway, ever since that game I wanted to cheer. And last year, I started high school. Unfortunatly, they cut cheerleading that year. I don't know why. I'm going to be a sophmore this year and they still don't have cheerleading. :( I'm just really hoping they get it before I graduate..

you can start your own non-school funded team. just organize a group of ppl and cheer at games and whatnot.
I've actually thought of that.
But according to the "law" you are not aloud to do stunts or lift people without a coach. So basically the only thing we would be able to do is yell kick and clap..
