@margaretwilson if a country opts out of international law there is no mechanism to enforce international law so it has no power in the countries that have opted out
suit to say it's useless is wild lol. It's for the countries that are in it, it's an insanely complex organization that provides a lot of benefits to its member's nations. It's like saying "teachers aren't useful because some kids don't go to school"

Things like international waters, only the countries who agree not to over fish and dump garbage are gonna be bound by that agreement
Then there's no big international police force that's gonna make others obey
