Harry Potter books are definitely my favorite.

obviously the harry potter series
but a great book thats just a single book andnot part of a series is Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen

I've read the HP series and saw the water for elephants movie and bawled just at the movie so I'm not sure if I want to read the book ;p
