Advice for upcoming highschoolers...

Jun 11, 2017 by papalouiesfansfan
My advice for freshmen:
Well, congratulations on surviving middle school! You're about to go into a school full of opportunities. If you're like me, you feel amazing getting the freedom to be able to choose exactly which classes you want to take (when I was in middle school, I was forced to take 3 courses). Here's the thing. You guys are the newbies of high school. Us upperclassmen will make fun of you, so don't take it personally. We are just making fun of you guys because we're almost done with high school and we're exhausted, so, work hard and don't be a slacker freshman year, because if you fall behind, it will hurt your future.

My advice for sophomores:
Hey! Well done! You have survived the hardest year of high school, socially, that is. Now, you've got to get past things like PSAT tests, and it's very likely you're taking quite a few honors courses, so try not to slack in those courses. Just act normal, work hard, and you shall carry on!

My advice for juniors:
Guess what? You're officially an upperclassman. The distance between the start of high school and now is the same as now and your graduation. In fact, I'm also part of the Class of 2019!!! Chances are your mandatory testing involves either the SAT or ACT, so study all year for this huge test. It could be the difference between a good or a bad college.

My advice for seniors:
You made it this far. You've been through the emotional struggles of freshman year, the drama of sophomore year, and that feeling that you want to die of junior year. Now, you're finally going to encounter the laziness of senior year. Apply to colleges you want to be a good fit in and will give you a big challenge. Take a schedule that'll make colleges think twice before they reject you. Also, if you're not going to college, make the most of your final year of school!

So, that said, that wraps up your advice for this upcoming year, highschoolers. In fact, I recommend you come back to this blog one year from now and take a look at your advice for the NEXT upcoming year!
