tl;dr at bottom, please read!

About a week ago, several soldiers were doing their regular military rotations near the South-North Korean border, and there was an explosion due to a landmine that the North Koreans had set in our side of the border, and all of the soldiers were severely injured.

Due to this, our government brought back the mega-speakers that broadcast daily South Korean news up to 24km towards North Korea that had been put away upon North Korea's request on 2004. The South Korea-USA Military training sessions happened to be going on right now, which made North Korea feel even more threatened, so they shot missiles yesterday towards us. We responded back with missiles (since obviously we aren't just going to sit around while they're shooting at us LOL), and now Kim Jung Un is begging our government to stop the broadcasts, threatening us that they will start a war again around today or tomorrow.

He is sending the North Korean military towards the border currently, while requesting our government to talk the situation out (while when we tried to "talk it out" with them for the last 20 years with them refusing to cooperate until now when they're in an unfair situation) Technically, the Korean war never ended, the two governments just had a temporary truce, so we are still at war. No one can guess whether this war will start again today, but it's highly likely that North Korea will slip out of the situation, seeing as Kim Jung Un is trying to act like he isn't intimidated and trying to threaten us.

tl;dr kim jung un taunted/attacked south korea, and then realized that he was fucked, and now he's trying to start a war lmao rip me

imageToday is the 1-year anniversary of the Sinking of the MV Sewol.

It has been a year since the MV Sewol sunk at 8:58AM, April 16, 2014.
This was one of the biggest and most shocking events to have ever occurred in Korea, my country. We will never forget the students of Danwon High School, and the entire nation will remember all students unwillingly sacrificed by the unfortunate series of events that lead to this tragedy. A school field trip turned into the death of more than 300 passengers, and thousands of families of the students and crew members who have been scarred for life.

We will never forget the 304 people who passed away; the students who have moved on from our world, whose ambitious young souls had so much ahead of them. The entire nation prays out to commemorate this heartbreaking disaster that will be left in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

May the 9 bodies who remain unaccounted for be found and rescued. We are sorry, and we will never forget all of you.
