It does nothing to prevent the frequency of these shootings, only possibly the number of casualties. Anyone twisted enough to want to go to a school and shoot and kill 17 people will not stop and be like let me change my mind teachers are armed. So arming teachers may only limit the number of deaths in said school shooting. We should be looking for solutions to solve the crisis and prevent kids dying in school in the first place, and not just merely limiting the amount of kids shot dead in their classrooms.

Actually evidence shows that when people want to a commit a mass shooting they almost always plan ahead and go after a gun-free zone. So the idea is, arming the teachers would infact deter people from even attempting. The vast majority of gun defence use a bullet isn't even fired. The threat of the gun is the defence.
When people are that twisted they want to kill as many people as they can, I agree so they are going to target a gun-free zone to do the most damage. Don't you agree?
