ok coming I can't make you answer seriously to why you often say yo but a lot of the time, speech disfluency is actually to cover up some sort of uneasiness in your mind and perhaps people want to use this language to put up an act as they feel vulnerable and innocent being themselves. This is what I have observed from others.
