As the heroes of Cauldron stand over the body of Alek Tercival, whose corpse was just used to deliver a dire warning, they have little time to rest. Mere seconds after the message, a trio of babau demons appears and attacks the heroes without provocation. Seconds after the attack begins, there is a flash of light and a new figure stands in the ruined entrance way. After helping the heroes slay the babau, the newcomer introduces himself as Kaurophon. Kaurophon explains that he was sent by the power of the Smoking Eye to guide the heroes to the outer plane of Occipitus. If the heroes can pass the Test of the Smoking Eye <a href="http://usasmokingsale.com">Buy Marlboro Cigarettes Online</a>, Kaurophon explains, they can cleanse Occipitus of evil and win a great victory for the forces of good. Kaurophon goes on to explain that the Test of the Smoking Eye is a test created by the former ruler of the plane, who disappeared years ago. Kaurophon stumbled across the location of the first test in his planar travels, but was not powerful enough to pass it. However, he was compelled by planar forces to arrive at this exact place and time, and can only conclude that the heroes must be powerful enough to pass the test.
After resting, binding their wounds, and ensuring that the body of Alek Tercival is properly laid to rest in the desert outside, the heroes agree to allow Kaurophon to use one of his scrolls of plane shift to transport the entire group to Occipitus. Once there, Kaurophon leads the group to a place known as the Cathedral of Feathers. A ruined structure once part of Celestia, the Cathedral of Feathers is the site of the first test. Inside the structure, the heroes experience strange reality-warping effects that cause the Cathedral to flash back to the way it was when it was on Celestia, only to flash back to its current state moments later. For the first test, the Test of Judgment, the heroes must choose between two doors: one leading to a confrontation with a bebilith, and another to a chamber containing a trapped guardinal. The heroes choose to enter the chamber with the bebilith and slay it. On the far side, they discover that they chose correctly: Adimarchus intended the test to ensure that the rightful ruler of Occipitus knew to deal with rivals first, and enemies second.
Equipped now with a lantern of guidance, the heroes now undertake the second test <a href="http://cigarettessupermarket.com">Types Of Marlboro Cigarettes</a>, the Test of Resolve. The lantern guides them across the remnants of a celestial battlefield, the Plane of Cysts. As the heroes follow the lantern's guidance, off of the path they see charging demons, tormented celestial creatures begging for aid or a quick death, vast treasures, and all manner of distractions. However, the heroes are not drawn from their path, and pass the second test. This test leads them into the great Skull at the center of the layer, through winding tunnels, past a number of rivals who have secretly followed the heroes this far, and into the eye socket of the Skull itself. A blinding red light fills the eye socket, and the source of the plasms, a massive rift in reality, hovers before the heroes. The mummy lord who has administered the test thus far, explains that Adimarchus demands that his worthy successor be able to sacrifice everything they hold dear: in this case, hurling an ally into the flame. At that moment, Kaurophon's inevitable betrayal unfolds, as their erstwhile ally lunges forward in an attempt to drive Lilith into the flames. Before he can do so, Kong intervenes to hold Kaurophon back, and Ayunken-kocoi decides to end this betrayal himself: by hurling Naelan to the flames, and instant death.
Instantly, Ayun is transformed into the Master of the Smoking Eye. The gold dragon's left eye vanishes and is replaced by a smoldering red flame that gives off occasional wisps of bitter smoke <a href="http://usacigarettesshop.com">Price For Newport Cigarettes</a>. However, with Kaurophon defeated and the test ended, it is time for the heroes to return to Cauldron. Recovering one of the plane shift scrolls from Kaurophon's body, they teleport back to Cauldron, specifically to Lord Ulskorn's estate.

Both Lilith and Aureas decide to leave the party; Aureas to fill the void left by Alek Tercival's passing in the church of Maal, and Lilith to infiltrate the Last Laugh thieves' guild to discover what role they have in the events transpiring in Cauldron. Ulskorn is angry with Ayun for slaying Naelan, but the gold dragon explains that he simply mistook the test for another trick, thinking Naelan would not be harmed.
