like moving to la and starting drag i have met so many people who struggle with NOT ONLY the virus, but the stigma around and jokes like these contribute to the stigma.
you can be undetectable with hiv, meaning that you cannot transmit the virus. they are even working on a cure.
tengaged is an LGBTQ+ community, and if you people actually educated yourselves on our history you would realize we lost an entire generation of LGBTQ+ excellence to this virus. like more than half of our community at the time. like seriously some of you need to spend less time guessing masked singer characters and making brantsteeles, and actually read a fucking book. or even watch a peer reviewed youtube video.
I don't care if this comes off as a buzzkill, but I get pissed we can't even say certain words on this site, but like HIV+/aids jokes are allowed. They are hurtful.
Just because you grew up in white pickett fenced suburb, and weren't exposed to these issues because of your wealth and privilege, doesn't give u a pass to make jokes about and ignore these issues. i was one of those people growing up in new jersey, but it took me moving to LA to realize how blessed i was and how i need to use the advantages society has given me to support others.
