Today was so great because instead of going to school, some of my classmates and I got to participate in a county-wide mock disaster. They had been planning it for months and the purpose of it all was to evaluate the response times and competence of several emergency systems (Fire Dept, 911, Ambulance, Police, Haz. Mat.).
We were all given fake injuries. Basically there was this kit with fake blood and things to put on yourself to make you look injured. It was like an early Halloween lol.
The mock disaster was that we were on a school bus and at a stop sign we are hi-jacked by a man who had just robbed a store. He overtakes the bus and the bus crashes into a hazardous truck which injures everyone on the bus. All the emergency people came and did their jobs (they were informed that it was a drill when they got there) and we were all taken to the hospital because the hospital was a part of the drill as well.
It was so fun to be an actor for a day! But tomorrow I'm gonna have to make up the Pre-Calculus test that I missed :/
Sounds like a good day. I've seen stuff like that on the TV. But they close a whole hospital like for the day :/ which I think is weird lol. But, nonetheless, it sounds interesting.
