While Dylan's body was evacuated, Kate and Tom both told the policemen that James is the killer and he must be arrested immediately. James tried to defend himself but to no avail, and he was taken from the scene along with the evidence he wanted to show them.
The next day, Tom and Kate sat together at a coffee shop and tried to understand James's motive to kill George. They couldn't figure it out and assumed that he wasn't paid properly for keeping George safe and did it out of frustration. He is the only one who had access to the rooms where Liz and Sarah were found and could esily find Roger's and Dylan's addresses too. But the question remains - why did he kill all the other people?
James was decisive to prove his innocence and showed his evidence to the cops. After they examined it and put it together with other material they collected, they decided to set James free for now and move on with the investigation.
But James never came back to the station, as he was found dead the next day by poisoning. The police found a note attached to the internal side of his shirt.
The note said: "If you read this, I'm probably dead by now. I managed to survive this long when innocent people were killed, I had time to get closer to the suspects and know them from the inside out. I'm glad to say that I know who is the killer. I kept the ultimate evidence in a place where he can never find it, In my own body. If you appreciate the work I've done, please, put him behind bars as soon as possible".
The police ran an autopsy on James's body and they found a letter written by Kate, designated to George.

Tom mourned his wife's death while James and Dylan watched in horror. James said that there's no safe place for them in the country as long as the killer is free, and they must keep away of each other until the case will be solved.
After Sarah's funeral, Tom went to meet Kate against James's orders. He told her everything that happened in the station following Liz's death and they got to the conclusion that James must be the killer, and he wants them to stay separated so they won't be able to build a case against him.
They decided to join forces and hand over James to the police. In order to do so, they went back to the crime scene to recall where James exacly was during the murder. Kate recalled herself walking out of the trophy room after the rest, and claimed to have been near the punch bowl. She also claimed to have seen Liz and Roger when the shot was heard.
Tom however, recalled the situation differently. He claimed that he and Sarah left the trophy room first and went to the gallery, where they saw Roger talking to Dylan. However, that happened before the murder as he was in the restroom when the shot was heard.
They made the assumption that Roger left the gallery and that's why Kate saw him too, but what could he possibly had to say to Dylan? they barely knew each other.
They both wondered if Dylan could've gotten to the trophy room in time to save George if he was informed of the murder by Roger, and decided to measure the time it takes to run from where Dylan was standing to the trophy room. Tom made it there in 1 minute and 22 seconds and took out 20 seconds (as Dylan is much younger and fit than Tom). Which means, that Dylan could've prevented the murder.
The next day, James informed them that he found a new evidence which he wants to show them in hope to find the killer. When they came to the station, Dylan was missing. After a quick search in his house, He was found in his bedroom, being shot 3 times in the back and bled to death.

Kate was devastated by the sight of her dead daughter, saying she doesn't want any kind of relationship with the other suspects. She left the station later that day with the coffin.
James was determined to interrogate Tom, Sarah and Dylan again in hope to find a trace leading to the killer. The assumption that Kate would've never killed her own daughter was highly doubted by the others considering it may put more suspicions on them as the killer.
James interrogated Tom first and asked him about his mention in George's testament. Tom replied that they were good friends and had a lot of businesses together. James asked if those businesses had something to do with Roger, and Tom said that Roger sold one of George's most valuable companies in a very low price, which was the cause of the harsh arguement between the two.
James told Tom that the only two people George mentioned in his testament except for Tom were Roger and Liz, who are both dead now, thus leading him to the obvious conclusion that Tom is the killer.
Later that day, Tom told Sarah that James is convinced he's the killer and if any new evidence won't be found, he'll probably be sent to jail in order to close the case. Sarah was shocked by that, saying she's going to expose James's corruption to the public.
The next morning as everyone prepared to return home, Sarah was missing. Tom and James went to look for her throughout the entire building until her body was found. She was choked to death, locked inside one of the interrogation rooms.

The person who knocked Roger's door seconds before he was murdered turned out to be his secretary. She looked all over the room until she came across the closet with his dead body. Within minutes, James was already there and started looking for evidences. His search was successful as he found a piece of hair probably belonging to the killer.
After scanning the DNA of the hair, a match was found with Kate's DNA and she was immediately remanded for further investigation.
Despite Kate's pleading to see her daughter, James took Liz along the other suspects to the police station in order to interrogate them about Roger's murder. They were forced to stay overnight for "their own safety" (even though the killer might be one of them) and Kate was allowed to see Liz for a few minutes.
But Liz never showed up. The following morning, her body was found hanged from the ceiling of one of the station's rooms.

After securing the crime scene and evactuating George's body, James took the six suspects for interrogation. They were all nervous except for Dylan, who seemed somewhat amused by the situation. Kate's interrogation revealed that she knew where George's testament is and claimed that he personally asked her to open it after his death.
James read the testament, much to her disappointment as George asked to divide all of his properties between Roger and Liz and move most of his businesses to Tom's ownership, leaving Kate with nothing but a short paragraph stating she was important to him after all.
James drew the conclusion that the killer's motive might have been inheriting George's property thus condemning Kate and Liz, but it could also be an act of revenge.
He suggested the suspects not to go by themselves too much in the next few days and released them back home though they weren't able to leave the country.
Tom and Sarah gave Roger a ride home and they discussed the possibility that James is in fact the killer, in the perfect guise.
A few hours after they dropped him, someone knocked the door. Roger was about to open when he was shot in the back by a mysterious character, who dragged his body into a nearby closet and left silently.

One cold night in the prestigious halls of Buckingham Palace, the way too rich George Duglas had his 50th birthday party. many people were invited, among them a few that would've probably be absent from that event if it wasn't to the gourmet food and some exclusive hospitality traditions.
Among the less-likely-to-attend guests were Kate, George's divorcee and her daughter Liz; Roger, George's former business partner who he had a harsh arguement with. Dylan, George's servant who is constantly being harassed by his boss and James, an undercover detective who was rent to keep an eye on the event.
George gathered a group of people into his trophy room to show off a little, unfortunately he wasn't followed by most of him colleages who got bored after his speech and went to seek for entertainment, but rather the more bitter guests, let's say.
Sarah and Tom, a couple who George met in the US came along to embrace him while the others were about to leave back to the main hall.
Kate was the last to leave the room, after George asked for a moment by himself. such moments makes it easier to forget you're 50 years old, aren't they?
Suddenly, a shot was heard. George Duglas, 50 years old by death, was found on the floor of his trophy room with a bullet in his head. James didn't waste a moment and called for reinforcement. the hall is closed, and everybody's a suspect.
