not that i will like yo bitch ahh kandee_ but i have an idea. what if when people get a ranked blog they got a karma and/or t$ reward for it? basically the only reason i use this site anymore is to spill and slurp the hot tea on the blogs page and i think it would make sense for there to be some sort of incentive to be active tg blogger. idk it just doesnt make sense to me that the most ill get more crafting a quality tg blog is a couple t$ at MOST unless im blatantly asking for money. there are three possibilities to implement this:
1. have a flat karma and/or t$ reward for your rank. for example, getting 1st would be 20 karma and 200 t$, 2nd would be 19 karma and 190 t$, so on and so forth. it's a little simple pimple but also it would be the easiest to implement.
2. have ranked blogs earn a tenth of the points (hearts? plusses? w.e they're called) as karma and/or t$. i think this would be better to have if people wanted a more accurate reward for their blogs, but it also runs the risk of making it cliquey and gamey. (but let's not pretend that the games on tg aren't already cliquey)
3. similarly to 2, have blogs earn karma and/or t$ from the points accrued upon the blog's expiration, but the rank determines what fraction of the points become karma or t$. for example: i get a 20th place blog that got 100 points upon its expiration, so i get a twentieth of the points as karma or t$; 100/20 = 5. this would probably be too convoluted to code or even understand, but people dont have to understand it for it to work. hell, the castings algorithm still illudes me to this day.
ofc these are only 3 possiblities for implementing a rewards system for blogs. ive been on tg for nearly 6 years and ever since the t-apocalypse, i basically have spent most if not all of my time between the groups and blogs tabs on the website. im probably alone in wanting payouts for the blogs page, but i just wish my contributions to this website were greater realized, even if it comes in the form of a couple extra hundred t$.
