sit here and laugh and think what Varner did was totally acceptable, and it's sickening. In many many states you can be fired for being transgender. You can be denied housing. And 1 in 12 transgender people are murdered. This world is horrible for trans people and you might think oh it was a silly tribal council, but thinking that diminishes the other issues.

Fucking terrible and disgusting thing Varner did. It was incredibly stupid as a strategic move and even stupider on the level of being a decent human being.
that being said, really Varner does not need to be demonized. He truly has felt severe remorse and guilt since doing that. He's been depressed and supposedly suicidal over the incident. He fucked up, it happens when you're under such harsh conditions.
