what exactly is a charity game?

Where is the charity going, and what exactly is being given???  I'm confused.

A charity game is when someone celebrates a milestone, such as playing 100 games or getting another color level. They usually go in there guaranteed to win.. but there are people that like to ruin charity games... so they dont always win... but they are really nice to bet on
