I am so thrilled to be sitting beside 2 icons in my very first Stars experience! It was such a fun week but I can’t lie, I’m excited to sleep a little more peacefully at night now. I joined this game alone on a whim just to get a taste of the Stars lifestyle, and I can say that I appreciate everyone who plays this game and I will be taking my voting in the polls a lot more seriously now. Most of this cast I had never heard of, but I had played with a few before. Starting off with 2 inactive players allowed me some time to get my footing and start building relationships.
From the beginning of the game, I was riding the middle and everyone wanted and thought they could get my vote. I wasn’t afraid to switch my direction in the game if it would keep me safe longer and I would be able to work more closely with people I trusted more. I was working with Masta quite closely for the first few days, until they started bragging I was their ‘puppet’ and tried to blame their set on me when they knew they were in danger. After that round, the 4 unnominated people decided to work together to protect each other and that’s where I really found people I trusted. I have to admit I am surprised someone didn’t turn on it until it was absolutely necessary.
Now I am sure there are still people wondering about what happened at final 5, so let me clear it up. Yes, I did volunteer to go on the block against Sam. Jason is an amazing person and a great game player, but I wanted someone from our group to win this game for all the hard work and dedication we put into the game and each other. We knew that if Jason was re-nominated at 5th that was never going to happen. We knew 1 person had to make it there unnominated. I had the weakest relationship with Sam out of the group, and while I didn’t know if I would survive against him in a poll, I thought it was at least plausible. I wasn’t sure of Sam’s intentions but I felt confident that DK and Alexis wanted the same goal.
I’m proud of how this week went for me, and regardless of the outcome I will be happy! I wish my 2 opponents the best of luck and any support will be appreciated and cherished!
